Literacy Volunteers of Rochester's literacy workshop trains volunteers to teach reading skills to English-speaking adults who read below a 9th grade level and conversational English to non-English speaking adults. Knowledge of a foreign language is not needed. Volunteers must plan to attend all sessions.
In order to attend a workshop you need to have completed our one hour preview session, be registered for the workshop, and pay the $40 non-refundable registration/materials fee. Workshop size is limited and places are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
